Correct installation method of planetary reducer
In the reducer family, planetary reducers are widely used in servo, stepper, DC and other transmission systems due to their small size, high transmission efficiency, wide deceleration range, and high accuracy. It is mainly used to reduce speed, increase torque and reduce the Moment of inertia ratio of load/motor on the premise of ensuring precision transmission. In the past few years, some users have suffered unnecessary losses by breaking the output shaft of the gearbox due to improper installation and other human factors when using it. Correct installation, use, and maintenance of the gearbox are important steps to ensure the normal operation of mechanical equipment. Therefore, when installing the planetary reducer, it is important to strictly follow the installation and usage instructions below, and carefully assemble and use it.
Step 1:
Before installation, confirm whether the motor and reducer are intact and strictly check whether the dimensions of each part connected to the motor and reducer match. Here are the dimensions and fit tolerances of the positioning boss, input shaft, and reducer groove of the motor.
Step 2:
Unscrew the screws on the dustproof hole on the outer side of the reducer flange, adjust the PCS system clamping ring to align its side hole with the dustproof hole, and insert the hexagonal socket to tighten it. Afterwards, remove the motor shaft key.
Step 3:
Connect the motor to the gearbox naturally. When connecting, it is necessary to ensure that the concentricity of the output shaft of the reducer and the input shaft of the motor are consistent, and the outer flanges of the two are parallel. Inconsistent alignment can cause the motor shaft to break or the gearbox gear to wear.
In addition, during installation, it is strictly prohibited to strike with a hammer or other tools to prevent excessive axial or radial force from damaging bearings or gears. Be sure to tighten the installation bolts before tightening the tension bolts. Before installation, wipe the anti rust oil on the motor input shaft, positioning boss, and WPWX70,WPWX80,WPWX100,WPWX120,WPWX135 reducer connection area with gasoline or zinc sodium water. Its purpose is to ensure the tightness of the connection and the flexibility of operation, and to prevent unnecessary wear and tear.
Before connecting the motor to the reducer, the motor shaft keyway should be perpendicular to the tightening bolt. To ensure uniform force, first screw on the installation bolts at any diagonal position, but do not tighten them. Then, screw on the installation bolts at the other two diagonal positions, and finally tighten the four installation bolts one by one. Finally, tighten the tightening bolts. All tightening bolts need to be fixed and inspected using a torque wrench according to the indicated fixed torque data.
The correct installation between the gearbox and mechanical equipment is similar to the correct installation between the gearbox and the drive motor. The key is to ensure that the output shaft of the planetary reducer is concentric with the shaft of the driven part.
