The two-stage worm gear reducer can be installed in two ways: horizontal reducer and vertical reducer. The horizontal reducer can be divided into two-stage worm gear stop type and bottom mounted type, and its transmission ratio is generally 1/10~1/80. When the peripheral speed of two-stage worm gear reducer is less than 4m/s, the worm is usually in the lower form. 


When the circumferential speed of the worm is greater than 4m/s, it usually appears at the top in the form of a worm. When the worm goes down, the oil level should be lower than the root of the worm thread and not exceed the lowest spherical center of the rolling bearing on the worm shaft to avoid increasing power loss. When the worm is running, the depth of the worm gear immersed in the oil is limited by the super tooth height.   


The workplace, transmission efficiency, load capacity and lubricating oil brand of the two-stage worm gear reducer shall comply with the values specified in the reducer manual. When the worm gear reducer is officially put into use, the lubricating oil level height shall meet the design requirements. Check the oil supply of each lubricating oil point at any time. Regularly check the impurities, moisture and viscosity changes in the lubricating oil. If it is found that the lubricating oil exceeds the standard or does not meet the standard, the lubricating oil shall be handled in a timely manner, and the bearing and oil pool shall be carefully cleaned while changing the lubricating oil. 


When the worm gear reducer operates normally, check the temperature of the bearing and oil pool and the noise of the reducer. In case of any abnormality, stop finding the cause immediately and put it into use after the abnormality is eliminated.
