The components of the reducer, especially the transmission parts on the output shaft, must be installed with care. It is prohibited to use hammer and other tools for explosive installation. The transmission connection parts should be equipped with protective devices when necessary to ensure the transmission effect and service life. Although there are many types of couplings for the reducer, it is not recommended to use rigid fixed couplings, because improper installation of such couplings will cause unnecessary external loads, not only waste energy, but also easily cause bearing fracture and damage.
1. Location selection
It is very important to select and fix the position of the reducer. It should be installed on a horizontal and stable foundation or base to ensure that the oil in the oil drain tank is easily discharged and the cooling air circulates smoothly. If the reducer is not fixed firmly or the foundation is unreliable, vibration and noise will occur, resulting in damage to bearings and gears. During installation, attention shall be paid to the alignment of the transmission center axis. The alignment error shall not be greater than the use compensation amount of the reducer coupling to ensure its longer service life.
2. Component installation
In our daily use of machinery, most of them can not be separated from the reducer. As a connecting machine, it reduces the speed of the motor, increases the torque, and provides greater torque. It plays an important role in the whole set of mechanical equipment. For example, the solid-liquid separator and the automatic fecal scraper commonly used in our aquaculture industry need the support of the reducer.
