Adding and replacing lubricating oil during the use of the WPEKS60-100,WPEKS70-120,WPEKS80-135,WPEKS100-155,WPEKS120-175 gearbox is an essential task, and some manufacturers add lubricating oil when leaving the factory. However, whether it is added or not, the lubricating oil needs to be replaced after using it for a period of time. The planetary reducer does not need to replace the lubricating oil and can be excluded. So some forget to replace, while others don't. What if I forget to replace or don't replace it?
What if I forget to replace the lubricating oil of the gearbox? For some gearbox combinations with high output or input speeds, prolonged high-speed operation will increase friction and generate greater heat. At this time, if new lubricating oil is used, it can reduce friction while preventing more heat generation. But if the lubricating oil is not changed for a long time and operated at high speed, the internal lubricating oil becomes extremely thick and may also contain impurities. This situation may result in two outcomes. One is abnormal noise, and the other is temperature rise.
Because the lubricating oil becomes thick and contains impurities, it accelerates the wear between gears, and the wear may lead to gear shifting. With the increasing amount of impurities, the impact on the gears will also become greater. So it will cause abnormal noise, which may be uneven.
In addition, the increase in temperature is caused by the increase in friction, which leads to an increase in temperature. In the case of only one ventilation hole, and the size of this ventilation hole is not large, the internal heat generated by friction cannot be discharged in a timely manner, so the temperature will accumulate higher and higher.
As for when to replace the lubricating oil, you can observe the internal condition after 2000 hours of use. If the lubricating oil inside is too thick and not conducive to the operation of gears or worm gears, it needs to be replaced.
