What's the matter with the gear unit shaft?


1. Cause analysis: the shaft string fault in the field is reflected from the input shaft string movement. The main reasons for shaft string are as follows:


A. It is because the broken tooth causes the input shaft to lose its axial restraint and the shaft string occurs;


B. It is caused by the unstable fastening of the driven gear and shaft on the intermediate shaft. In actual transmission, because of insufficient interference between the driven gear and the intermediate shaft, the driven gear produces axial series motion relative to the intermediate shaft, which causes the input shaft to produce axial series motion.


Therefore, the insufficient interference is the main reason for the gear unit shaft string. In addition, the steering of the reducer also has a certain impact on the tandem shaft.


C. Gear machining deflection causes shaft string. The processing deflection of the driven gear on the intermediate shaft can cause shaft string. The gear processing is positioned by the outer circle and the end face, while the gear assembly is positioned by the inner hole. Sometimes the inner hole is not the same as the outer circle, or the inner hole is not perpendicular to the end face, which will cause the deviation between the processed gear and the center line of the inner hole. The plane of the skew herringbone gear is not perpendicular to the axis. When the gear rotates for one cycle, the axial reciprocating series motion will occur at a certain point on the center line, and the input shaft will also be axial reciprocating series motion once.


D. The gear helical angle error causes shaft string. The two halves of the driven herringbone gear on the intermediate shaft and output shaft will change the center line of the herringbone gear due to the error of the actual helix angle, resulting in shaft string.


E. When the reducer is under the action of positive and negative torque, the tooth thickness error, uneven wear and premature wear of the tooth surface, and tooth back deformation lead to shaft string.


In the actual transmission, because the deflection degree of the two half driven gears is different, for the input shaft, the axial series movement is the result of the combined effect of the different deflection degree of the two half driven gears on the intermediate shaft. In addition, the driven gear on the output shaft will also cause the series movement because of the gear processing deflection, but because the output shaft is fixed in the axial direction, it will cause the intermediate shaft to move, thus causing the series movement of the input shaft.


2. Treatment measures: enhance the strength of the gear, the manufacturing accuracy of the gear, and reduce the roughness value of the gear and shaft. Enhance the installation accuracy and tightness of driven gear and shaft, mainly to achieve reasonable interference fit.
